Tikerbabine

Servings for 8 persons Preparation Time: 25 min Cooking time: 120min

Ingredients

1Kg Extra Medium Semolina
2 onions
2 cloves garlic
100g chickpeas
1 bunch of mint, thyme, wild mint, oregano, celery, coriander and other herbs except parsley
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt, pepper, cumin

Preparation instruction
Remember to have enough mint that will provide particular taste to the tikerbabine balls

Preparation:

  1. Chop all the fresh ingredients finely
  2. In a large bowl, place the semolina, the oil, the spices and all the fresh ingredients mix all well.
  3. Soaked with water or stock and form small balls (8 to 9 balls)
  4. Let the balls rest for 10 minutes then place then on the steamer for 2 hours
  5. Serve with stew or lentils soup
